Rhubarb from the garden

Fresh Rhubarb

I cut the first batch of rhubarb a few days ago from the garden. Debating what to make this recipe jumped out at me. The flavor profile was interesting: Vanilla beans, star anise, cinnamon. What I really liked was the presentation. It has rhubarb strips embedded and strips on top with a reduction syrup glaze. I ended up making some rhubarb sauce to go with it. Super easy to make and I highly recommend it if you have the time and some rhubarb in your garden or simply go to the markets and pick the reddest ones you can find.
